May Retreat at Shalom Center: Prelude to Summer, May 13-15, 2022
Join your fellow guild members for a weekend of stitching at the Shalom Center in Dubuque, Iowa on May 13-15, 2022. Late spring is a great time to finish up those projects begun in the winter before switching over to summer themes and colors. It will be a nice peaceful weekend in which to visit with people you haven’t seen in a while due to Covid and the winter weather. Just you and your fellow stitchers, no meals to worry about and away from the chores of home!
The Shalom Center offers us single rooms, five meals and a large room for stitching. Meals are served cafeteria style (breakfast 8am, lunch 12pm, and dinner 5:30pm). There is a cold beverage machine available to us and coffee, ice water, and various flavored teas (for hot tea) will be offered. Details:

Arrival: Check in 3:00- 5:00 pm on Friday, May 13
Departure: Check Out by 11:00 am on Sunday, May 15
Cost: $180 for those attending the full retreat ($176 Shalom, $4 to offset guild expenses)
Registration is open to guild members as well as non-guild guests who wish to join us and experience the fun of stitching together. Registration for MRVC begins now. Registration for region members and non-region members accompanying guild members begins April 15th. The deadline for all registrations is April 21, 2022. Don’t delay, our retreats are becoming more popular!
The guild is asking that all participants be vaccinated, this will allow us to keep the use of masks voluntary. If the situation warrants, this approach may be changed at the request of the guild or at the request of Shalom.
